Beltane - Apr. 30th/May1st
Fertility & Love
Also known as May Day. This festival continues the celebration of Spring and all the blessings of food, warmth and abundance to come.
Morris dancers would wake the earth by dancing and hitting sticks on the ground. May poles were danced around to bring the seed of the Sun down into the Earth. Couples would consort in the woods and be married for a Year and a Day. Bonfires were lit, and people and animals ran between them to be purified, rejuvenated and blessed.
Now is the time to relax for a moment, let loose and feel the joy and anticipation of the abundance you are working so hard for.
