Samhain - Oct. 31st

Meat Harvest

Samhain, also known as All Hallows’ Eve and Halloween, is the final of the Harvest festivals - the meat harvest. The Veil is thin between the worlds, and communication with and celebration of the dead is traditionally done at this time.

Just about everything you associate with Halloween is a symbol or activity taken from Samhain.

Now is the time to carve pumpkins, bob for apples, have a roast (pork if you eat meat, nut roast if you don’t), make your own broom and spend time with the spirits of your ancestors.
